Hackathon Guide – All you need to know about DevHacks (FAQ)

There are less than two weeks until the next challenge, and that is DevHacks 2017! We are so excited to start a new adventure for the 3rd time in a row, and we know that this is going to be an awesome experience. 24 hours spent together with awesome developers, mentors, investors & companies sounds great, isn’t it?

Being such a complex event, we know that there are a lot of things that you might be interested to know before the hackathon.

In order to make things easier, we’ve put up a list with the answers for the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) and all that you need to know if you want to be a part of DevHacks 2017:

  • A team should have between 2 to 5 members
  • In order to save your seat to DevHacks, at least one team member should register at the hackathon; All the registered persons will be soon contacted by us for further details;
  • Don’t worry if you don’t have a team, just let us know and we will put you in contact with other participants before the event in order to form a team;
  • P.S. If we have multiple participants without teams, we will make teams based on similar skills each of you have;
  • October 26th is the last day when you should receive from us an e-mail with the details of the team you’ll be in. Let’s see the cool names you come up with!
  • The coding process will last 24 hours; All the participants that are leaving during the hackathon will be disqualified;
  • Every team will be provided with Internet (Wired) & power connection; Please bring with you your laptops and all the other equipments that you will need during the hackathon;
  • At the hackathon you will have free access to food, snacks & drinks;
  • During the hackathon you will have access to Relaxing Area for the times when you want to take a break or a power nap;
  • After the coding process, the teams will present their demo app in front of the jury and the other participants; Don’t worry if you app is not in its final form, you can present all that you have managed to develop in 24hours;
  • You will have between 3 to 5 minutes to present your idea, so don’t waste time with many details;
