DevCon Live, the largest series of tech events brings together speakers from Google, Spotify and RedHat

More than 50 international speakers from companies such as Google, Spotify and RedHat will be present at DevCon Live, the largest series of online events dedicated to IT&C professionals

October 21, 2020 DevCon Live, the largest series of online events dedicated to the IT&C community in Romania, starts on November 3 and will showcase 4 weeks full of content on topics dedicated to technology, such as: Java, JavaScript, Web & Mobile and Cybersecurity. Inspired by DevTalks Reimagined and part of DevTalks Romania, DevCon Live will bring together over 5,000 local and international IT professionals and speakers from renowned companies such as Google, Spotify, RedHat, EPAM, VMware, JetBrains, Hazelcast and many more.

Between November 3-28, each week of DevCon Live will be a mix of resources and networking filled with conferences, masterclasses and workshops that will take place as follows: Java Week – November 3, JavaScript Week – November 10, Web & Mobile Week – November 17 and Cybersecurity Week – November 24, followed by personalized events and DevHacks hackathons organized during the weeks.

DevCon Live will run like this:

  • 4 technical conferences on the most desired technologies and impact topics in the IT&C industry such as: news, frameworks and projects developed using Java and JavaScript, software development for web and mobile applications and also cyber security with prevention methods and tools used by industry specialists.
  • Masterclasses organized for 1 hour and 30 minutes on topics such as microservices architecture, Front-End development and good practices in the area of ​​DevOps supported by top companies in the industry such as Cognizant Softvision, BCR, Mambu and Playtika.
  • Dedicated workshops where for 45 minutes participants will be able to deepen topics in the area of ​​Java, Web & Mobile and Cybersecurity supported by companies such as Computaris, Molson Coors GBS and Verifone.
  • A dedicated Women In Tech area sponsored by Molson Coors GBS that will offer discussion topics on career challenges and opportunities through webinars organized with women in the IT&C industry.
  • DevHacks hackathons return this fall with two new impact challenges for society, so technology enthusiasts can sign up and schedule for 24 hours on topics such as Education – hackathon organized with the support of Systematic between November 13-14 and Gaming – hackathon organized with the support of Playtika between November 20-21.
  • The traditional DevAfterWork events will take place in a new online format in November, and for about 3 hours participants will be able to deepen technical topics supported by speakers from companies like Ubisoft.
  • Expo Area – For a complete experience, during the 4 weeks of DevCon Live, participants will be able to explore the 3D stands area and to chat live with representatives from partner companies. They’ll also be able to participate in competitions and technical quizzes having the chance to win various prizes;
  • Networking Area – through the online event platform, DevCon Live participants will be able to connect with the IT community and interact both with other participants and with representatives of companies, speakers or event organizers;
