DevTalks Reimagined takes place next week

The most complex virtual IT event, DevTalks Reimagined, is launched on June 10-12  

What surprises did the companies prepare for the participants 

Organized for the first time in an online format, the DevTalks Reimagined event will present the same format already known for the physical edition of DevTalks. Thus, participants will be able to benefit from the first most complex experience offered by a virtual event in the field of technology in Romania, both through the agenda held during the 3 days, supported by 100 speakers from around the world, and through the exhibition area that will be transform into a virtual space for interaction and networking with the over 18 companies present at the event and areas dedicated to activations, contests and awards. 

The agenda of the event will bring to the attention of the participants 13 structured conferences during the 3 days, each being dedicated to one of the areas: Main Stage – Emerging Technologies, Web, DevOps, Code Clash, Java, Product Management, Big Data & Cloud, Security, Mobile, QA & Testing or Embedded. 

Among the most anticipated local and international speakers are: Mete Atamel – Developer Advocate at Google, Andres Almiray – Java / Groovy developer and a Java Champion at Oracle; Chakri Cherukuri – Senior Researcher at Bloomberg LP; Reza Rahman – Senior Java Technologist at Microsoft; Grishma Jena – Data Scientist at IBM Watson; Darko Meszaros – Senior Technical Evangelist at Amazon Web Services; Ruslan Gibaiev – Streaming Platform Lead the Bolt; Jevgeni Demidov – Lead DevOps Engineer at Pipedrive and many others. 

In addition, the DevTalks Reimagined experience will be dedicated to the networking and interaction component through which participants can connect with the entire community present at the event. Thus, the companies present in the exhibition area also prepare a series of activities and competitions through which participants can relax and have fun during the event, such as: 

  • Among the surprises of LSEG Romania are a virtual treasure hunt and a raffle that offers an xbox to the winner; 
  • Luxoft will host a quiz with questions from Java, .NET, JavaScript, C ++, Murex and QA after which the winners will receive an Amazon gift card, a Udemy course or a 1-hour video course from an IT guru; 
  • CrowdStrike will have a technical quiz and will designate 5 winners by drawing lots. They will win a workshop delivered by the Software Engineering team; 
  • Ubisoft organizes a quiz, and the answers to the questions can be discovered after interacting with the stand. 3 winners will be nominated by drawing lots, the prizes consisting of PC games, which were also developed in the Ubisoft Bucharest studio; 
  • Also, Raiffeisen Bank will organize at their stand a quiz with technical questions, with surprise prizes, but also many other companies that prepare various activities within the stand. 

Moreover, among the areas that will be active during the event are:  

Women in Technology powered by Betfair Romanian Development will be the area where for 3 days participants will be able to interact with company representatives and will also be able to participate in sessions dedicated to webinars on diversity and not only, supported by women from all over world active in the IT industry such as Anisha Patel – Director of Technology – Portfolio, Optimization & Program, Paddy Power Betfair, Dana Rus – Principal Data Engineer Paddy Power Betfair, Fouzia Adjailia – Ambassador of Women in Artificial Intelligence Algeria, Michelle Sandford – Tedx Speaker , recognized as one of the 30 most influential women in the gaming industry in 2018. 

TechEdu powered by Logiscool will be the ideal virtual space for parents who want to participate in the conference with their children because, for 3 days, children aged between 7-10 and 11-14 will have the opportunity to take part in workshops and courses online programming with instructor. 

Startups Area will be present again this year with the support of Around25, Cluj Startups, Rubik Hub, Startarium, but also the first hub in the Republic of Moldova, Dreamups. Thus, on June 10-12, technology startups will be present both in the virtual exhibition area with the latest news, and on June 12, on the Main Stage, where the founders will present in a short pitch their activity and startup mission their. 

Also, this year the National Robotics team of Romania, AutoVortex is preparing a unique surprise at DevTalks Reimagined and launches the first Romanian robots for personal telepresence assistants, completely built and programmed in Romania. Thus, at the AutoVortex virtual stand, participants will be able to teleport and physically move through the robotics hub, will be able to see and hear what is happening around the robot, will be able to listen to the success stories behind the international victories of the champions and will be able to see how children build and program other robots.
