1.     Can you please describe yourself in few words?

Andrei Ignat: I am a consultant, author, speaker for www.adces.ro, community leader and moderator at asp.net.

I’ve started from VB3, passed via plain old ASP and now I have more than 20 years of programming experience. Also, I was C# Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP).

2. Who is your favourite author?

Andrei Ignat: I have many: Thomas Mann, George RR Martin, Jack London ….

3. If you were to continue this sentence, how would you do it? One day I will change the world by …

Andrei Ignat: N/A. The world cannot be changed by a single person.

4. What do you love most about your work?

Andrei Ignat: Automating everything that can be automated.

5. What do you think is the biggest challenge in the industry at the moment?

Andrei Ignat: The ecosystem. Now, a software program does not exist alone but in an ecosystem.

6. A short presentation about what you will be talking about at DevCon Live 2021

Andrei Ignat: Roslyn Source Code Generators is a way to write programs that write programs at compile time. I will show you how to write one. Also, I will make demos about existing ones that may help you write less code and be more efficient.

7. What has helped you get where you are and what advice would you have for others who want to set off in a similar direction?

Andrei Ignat: Reading. Learning. Teaching others.

8. What future technology excites you the most and what are the tools you use?

Andrei Ignat: Real AI technology have potential (there are a lot of useless AI).
